Covid-19: Hierarchy of Controls at The Queens Hall

We understand that there may be some anxieties around coming to live events in a post-lockdown world and we want to reassure you that we take the safety of our audiences, artists, staff and volunteers extremely seriously. We welcolme discussion with our Hall Users, so please do get in touch HERE if you have any questions.

We have followed Welsh Government Guidance ( HERE & HERE ) and we feel very confident in our ability to deliver events as safely as we can by using multiple independent controls as set out below.

  1. Significantly improved fresh air ventilation piped in to the Venue in line with HSE ventilation guidelines – the single most powerful tool in reducing the risk of aerosol transmission

  2. Adjusted set times to further enhance ventilation before, after and in-between acts by opening doors and windows

  3. Installed CO2 monitors to continually assess air quality

  4. Installed HEPA filter hand driers which kill 99.99% of bacteria and viruses including Covid-19

  5. Installed hand sanitizing stations throughout the building and additional hand basins in the toilets

  6. Continuing enhanced cleaning regime including fogging which kills 99.99% of bacteria and viruses including Covid-19

  7. Installed ‘no-touch’ ticketing and cashless payment systems

  8. Installed new bar system and increased number of tills and card machines to significantly reduce queuing times

Please also help us keep Covid-19 out of the building by;

  1. Staying home if you have any Covid-like symptoms, have a positive test result or have been asked to self-isolate.

  2. Taking a Lateral Flow Test before attending the Venue. You can obtain free LFT tests via the Welsh Government website HERE
