Black History 365

Our wonderful Black History 365 Celebration will start at 1pm with an Afro fusion dance class led by the amazing Arnold Matsena and will feature story teller Phil Okwedy, and artist Daniel Trivedy in the house!

We will have book signings from children's authors Atinuke, Natalie Jones and Cathy Jenkins, plus a panel discussion with the authors and creative practitioners working in education.

A presentation on the work of Canolfan Peniarth to diversify, and the creation of their Black History Timeline of Wales, plus films from the Span Arts/Llwy Gariad Children in Need funded We Move West Wales young people on their thoughts, perspectives and lived experiences.

One Voice Choir will be singing a selection of songs of "Black" origin from reggae to soul, to the continent of Africa. I'm also hoping that some of the Narberth Supporters of Gaza will come and sing to raise funds for medical aid.

Face painting with legendary artist Jamuna, hair braiding and at 4pm a fashion show of up cycled clothing created and modelled by the We Move West Wales youth!
