Span Arts Comedy Club: Nick Doody

Comedy Club returns to The Queens Hall, Narberth on Thursday 14 December, 2017 with the hilarious, intelligent and satirical Nick Doody, funny and charming comedic star; Tom Houghton and stand-up comedian, writer and actor; Jess Fostekew.

October’s headliner is one of the brightest talents on the comedy circuit; Nick Doody. Doody has been performing comedy since the 90s when, as a student, he got off to a pretty good start by supporting the legendary Bill Hicks, at Bill's request. Soon after, Nick was a finalist in Channel 4's ‘So You Think You're Funny?’ competition. Since then Nick has performed all over the world. He was the first British comedian to perform in Croatia. Nick has appeared on numerous radio and TV shows, and has also penned jokes for the likes of Joan Rivers, Lenny Henry, Dame Edna Everage and many more. He was also the creator of Bigipedia; a critically acclaimed Radio 4 show.

“This is simply the best unadulterated, gimmick-free hour of pure stand-up I’ve seen.” -  CHORTLE

Joining Doody is the rising star; Tom Houghton. After studying a Masters degree in ‘Stand Up Comedy’ Tom reached the final of the ‘Paramount Comedy’s Funniest Student’ competition in 2008. With his cheeky charm and musical madness, he has been leaving comedy clubs up and down the country in stitches. Also seen on BBC1, BBC2, and ITV.

"Hilarious... A superior kind of chaos." -The Daily Telegraph

Compere for the evening is Jess Fostekew; stand-up comedian, writer and actor. Jessica has been performing improvised comedy and working as a comedy actress since 2005. In 2008, she hit the UK stand up circuit like a thunderbolt of joy and was a finalist in the Funny Women's Awards 2010. As well as acting in an array of BBC comedy shows, Jessica also writes for BBC’s ‘Mock The Week’, ‘8 out of 10 cats’ and for Jason Mannford.
