Narberth Jazz Christmas Party

Narberth Jazz meet monthly to present quality live jazz at The Plas Hotel Narberth and invite you to celebrate 2 successful years with like minded friends and neighbours at our community venue. Last year we presented a tribute to Humphrey Lyttleton at the hall, with a ten piece band, now we jump to a larger, sixteen person outfit from the Swansea area.

Constellation Big Band was formed circa 1973 and originally consisted of musicians who played in bands during the 1939-45 war years and post-war years, who came together to once again enjoy the pleasures of playing music that they loved. The band is made up of a diverse range of players who like to recreate the sounds of the Big Band era with music from Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton and many more. They also take pride in having a vast array of music to accommodate all genres of musical taste and style and include many recent tunes. They play for dancing and listening and welcome swing dance groups to many gigs.

The Band have toured Germany and played at various prestigious venues, and have appeared on S4C’s ‘Heno’ TV programme. Constellation boast two talented and versatile vocalists in Angharad Sanders and Chris Richards, both very experienced big band singers and presenters.
