Comedy Club: Alistair Barrie, Matt Rees and Abigoliah Schamaun

Comedy Club returns to The Queens Hall, Narberth on Thursday 12 October, 2017 with one of the most sought after performers on the international comedy circuit; Alistair Barrie, multi-award winning Welsh comedian; Matt Rees and Abigoliah Schamaun; a seasoned regular on the comedy circuit.

October’s headliner is the hilarious Alistair Barrie; considered ‘one of the circuit’s classiest stand ups’, he is guaranteed to make this night an unforgettable one.

Barrie has worked all over the world, including on a ship in the North Sea and at the world's highest gig on top of a mountain in France. Barrie has performed in some of the country's most prestigious theatres including The Bloomsbury, Lyceum, Harold Pinter, Shepherd's Bush Empire, Oxford New Theatre and The Manchester Opera House. He has written for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Radio 4 and a number of other comedians.

A regular at corporate events and festivals, he has taken seven solo shows to the Edinburgh Festival - his 2012 shows were both runner up for best show at the Fringe in the Amused Moose Laughter Awards.

Joining Bird is the rising star; Matt Rees. Multi-award winning Welsh comedian Matt has generated a huge buzz over the past year with his unique brand of well-crafted gags and acerbic delivery earning him high praise from audiences and critics alike. The 22-year-old has won a host of awards including Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2012, Welsh Unsigned Stand-Up Award 2011 and many more.

Compere for the evening is Abigoliah Schaumann; a London based comic. A glorious performer; Abigoliah captivates the crowd with her endearing demeanour, cutting wit and skilfully crafted material. Schamaun’s material is often truly shocking, engaging, and delivered with deft timing. She has had international success touring in the US, UK, South East Asia, Norway, Denmark, Australia and a wide variety of festivals.
